Jo 4:17-20. E nós mesmos conhecemos o amor que Deus tem por nós e cremos nesse amor. Deus é amor. Aquele que vive no amor vive unido com Deus, e Deus vive unido com ele. Assim o amor em nós é totalmente verdadeiro para que tenhamos coragem no Dia do Juízo, porque a nossa vida neste mundo é como a vida de Cristo. No amor não há medo; o amor que é totalmente verdadeiro afasta o medo. Portanto, aquele que sente medo não tem no seu coração o amor totalmente verdadeiro, porque o medo mostra que existe castigo. Nós amamos porque Deus nos amou primeiro. Se alguém diz: “Eu amo a Deus”, mas odeia o seu irmão, é mentiroso. Pois ninguém pode amar a Deus, a quem não vê, se não amar o seu irmão, a quem vê. O mandamento que Cristo nos deu é este: quem ama a Deus, que ame também o seu irmão.
O amor de Deus é o antídoto para o veneno da mentira e a hipocrisia, ele revela as boas obras de Deus. O amor é a resposta divina nos filhos de Deus, e para os necessitados.
As boas ações dos seres humanos moralmente, não estão em conformidade plena com os padrões e as virtudes de Deus. Entenda que há arbitrariedade na prática de alguns homens quando fazem o bem, eles o fazem por imitação e por necessidade moral. A mente e o coração deles são estimulados num amor de retorno.
A palavra do Senhor nos ensina a maneira correta de aplicar o amor. Esse amor está acima da bondade moral. Qualquer generosidade ou sofrimento deve ser motivado pelo amor, caso contrário Deus o rejeita. O martírio egoísta não tem valor algum para Deus, somente para o mundo.
1 Co 13: O amor de Deus suporta tudo, não importa qual seja suas virtudes ou talentos, ele está baseado na fé e na esperança. Observe que há partes positivas e negativas. A superioridade dos filhos de está em amar.
Amar incondicionalmente vai exigir exercitação do nível bíblico. Esse amor vem da parte de Deus, ele exige mudança na forma dos relacionamentos, sua qualidade é amar quando não há motivos para amar. Deus não ama pelo que fazemos, isso foi demonstrado e praticado por Jesus.
1 João 3:16-24. Nisto conhecemos o amor: que Cristo deu a sua vida por nós; e devemos dar nossa vida pelos irmãos. Ora, aquele que possuir recursos deste mundo, e vir a seu irmão padecer necessidade, e fechar-lhe o seu coração, como pode permanecer nele o amor de Deus? Filhinhos, não amemos de palavra, nem de língua, mas de fato e de verdade. E nisto conheceremos que somos da verdade, bem como, perante ele, tranquilizamos o nosso coração; pois, se o nosso coração nos acusar, certamente, Deus é maior do que o nosso coração e conhece todas as coisas. Amados, se o coração não nos acusar, temos confiança diante de Deus; e aquilo que pedimos dele recebemos, porque guardamos os seus mandamentos e fazemos diante dele o que lhe é agradável. Ora, o seu mandamento é este: que creiamos em o nome de seu Filho, Jesus Cristo, e nos amemos uns aos outros, segundo o mandamento que nos ordenou. E aquele que guarda os seus mandamentos permanece em Deus, e Deus, nele. E nisto conhecemos que ele permanece em nós, pelo Espírito que nos deu.
O amor de Deus operando no crente comprova o seu novo nascimento. Jesus produziu as qualidades do Pai, como paciência e atitudes positivas que transformaram muitos corações. O amor verdadeiro inibe a inveja, a arrogância, o orgulho, ele traz paz num ambiente através da bondade. O amor bíblico é uma prática que produz segurança e esperança para as pessoas necessitadas espiritualmente e fisicamente. A palavra de Deus não está associada a sentimentos, e nem é uma associação de emoções, mas a verdade e a obediência aos mandamentos.
A reação de Jesus na cruz foi a reação do amor Ágape, Ele não foi indiferente, Ele considerou o mandamento do Pai.
O amor que opera na Verdade é o amor da auto-doação, vemos isto com certeza na morte expiatória de Jesus na cruz perdoando todos os pecadores.
Lc 23:33-34. Quando chegaram ao lugar chamado Calvário, ali o crucificaram, bem como aos malfeitores, um à direita, outro à esquerda. Contudo, Jesus dizia: Pai, perdoa-lhes, porque não sabem o que fazem. Então, repartindo as vestes dele, lançaram sortes.
Nisto conhecemos o amor que Jesus deu a Sua vida por nós. O amor de Deus é maior que os nossos corações. Qual o problema que você tem com os mandamentos do Senhor? Se guardamos os os Seus mandamentos é porque negamos nossos sentimentos impuros, deixamos coisas, saímos de algo, deixamos os atritos para viver desse amor.
Temos que estudar a Palavra para descobrir a vontade de Deus, e fazer da vontade Dele, como Jesus fez. Ele cumpriu os seus próprios ensinamentos.
Mt 5:43-48. Ouvistes que foi dito: Amarás o teu próximo e odiarás o teu inimigo. Eu, porém, vos digo: amai os vossos inimigos e orai pelos que vos perseguem; para que vos torneis filhos do vosso Pai celeste, porque ele faz nascer o seu sol sobre maus e bons e vir chuvas sobre justos e injustos. Porque, se amardes os que vos amam, que recompensa tendes? Não fazem os publicanos também o mesmo? E, se saudardes somente os vossos irmãos, que fazeis de mais? Não fazem os gentios também o mesmo? Portanto, sede vós perfeitos como perfeito é o vosso Pai celeste.
O amor verdadeiro é uma prática da justiça de Deus, Jesus ensinou um amor para com todos, considerando os além, isso significa que Jesus estava apontando um amor pelo qual o mundo deve reconhecer os filhos do Pai celestial. Jesus apontou a absoluta perfeição do amor de Deus, como alvo do crente.
Jesus está nos ensinando que o amor que não se debate a possibilidade filosófica do absoluto amor perfeito na terra. Entendemos que existem pessoas boas praticando coisas boas, mas a prática da verdadeira piedade está no conhecimento do verdadeiro amor de Deus.
O amor natural das pessoas, muitas das vezes se tornam decepção, pois são sentimentos forjados em respostas. Esse modelo de amar vai produzir mágoas profundas no interior das pessoas.
Nesta temporada vejo muitas pessoas tendo dificuldade em se relacionar em amor com o próximo. Essa passagem bíblica em que Jesus fala amar seu inimigo é complicado para quem quer seguir a Jesus por um amor sentimental. O jovem rico não pode negar suas riquezas, tem pessoas que colocam suas metas e seus planos, elas não vão abrir mão de seus confortos, elas não querem sentir a dor da Cruz ( sofrer por fazer o bem).
Jo 14:21. Quem tem os meus mandamentos e lhes obedece, esse é o que me ama. Aquele que me ama será amado por meu Pai, e eu também o amarei e me revelarei a ele”.
Pessoas têm dificuldade em declarar amor absoluto ao Senhor, elas estão frustradas nas igrejas. Quando lê na Bíblia, algumas passagens, sentar na mesa com o inimigo, essa é uma grande frustração para os crentes carnais, elas perdem a satisfação espiritual.
Sl 25:5. “Preparas uma mesa perante mim na presença dos meus inimigos. Unges a minha cabeça com óleo; o meu cálice transborda”
O Salmista pede que Deus prepare uma mesa, a mesa é do Senhor, você senta e espera, seu inimigo vai entrar em choque. O diabo não tem parte nesta mesa, nós estamos falando sobre pessoas que se tornaram espinhosas para a sua carne para lhe fazerem infeliz.
Pv 16:6-7. Com amor e fidelidade se faz expiação pelo pecado; com o temor do SENHOR o homem evita o mal. Quando os caminhos de um homem são agradáveis ao SENHOR, ele faz que até os seus inimigos vivam em paz com ele.
A cruz do calvário é o modelo da verdade e da misericórdia, só vamos evitar o mal andando com Deus em temor e na força do Espírito Santo. Você propõe a mesa e Deus estabelece as atitudes que ligam os corações.
O Amor sentimental não evitará o mal, mas é pelo temor ao Senhor que se evita a prática do mal.
Dt 6:4. “Ouça, ó Israel: O SENHOR, o nosso Deus, é o único SENHOR. Ame o SENHOR, o seu Deus, de todo o seu coração, de toda a sua alma e de todas as suas forças.
Deus quer nossa devoção, nossa obediência e nossa lealdade, essa é uma a verdade básica e exclusiva do Único Deus. Aqui o Senhor já nos advertia sobre ter força no amor, um coração com capacidades nos entendimentos Dele.
Jesus falou sobre esse mandamento da Lei, a sua resposta foi clara, a conclusiva, Jesus trouxe princípios espirituais eternos ao mandamento, quando Moisés exorta o povo sobre o princípio e o fim da Lei, amor e obediência.
Mt 22:37-40. “Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da Lei? – Respondeu Jesus: “‘Ame o Senhor, o seu Deus de todo o seu coração, de toda a sua alma e de todo o seu entendimento’. Este é o primeiro e maior mandamento. E o segundo é semelhante a ele: ‘Ame o seu próximo como a si mesmo’. Destes dois mandamentos dependem toda a Lei e os Profetas”.
Já estudamos que amar no padrão do Senhor vai exigir responsabilidade nas atitudes, na alma e no coração. O amor segundo Deus, está sempre buscando o bem maior do outro e não de si mesmo.
A Palavra fala explicitamente que devemos amar a nós mesmos, mas há o amor próprio que é corrupto, ele é dos maiores pecados, esse amor está ligado às feições humanas, às exigências, aos questionamentos e aos entendimentos pessoais.
CONCLUSÃO.
Observamos o diálogo da mulher de Jó, ela não entendeu porque tanto integridade espiritual na adversidade cruel da aflição de Jó.
Jó 2:9-10. Então, sua mulher lhe disse: “Ainda conservas a tua integridade? Amaldiçoa a Deus e morre. Mas ele lhe respondeu: Falas como qualquer doida; temos recebido o bem de Deus e não receberíamos também o mal? Em tudo isto não pecou Jó com os seus lábios.
A voz dessa mulher é a voz da serpente nas orelhas de muitas pessoas quando estão passando uma amarga prova de fé. Pessoas não estão preparadas para serem provadas quando há perdas. O amor delas não resiste à diversidade, à fidelidade e integridade delas não resistem aos momentos de aflição. Esse é o modelo de amor do mundo querendo se estabelecer na casa de Deus.
Estamos sendo ensinados a ser capazes de suportar situações fora do entendimento humano se o amor de Deus estiver operando em nós. Independentemente das situações e dos obstáculos que a vida colocar no caminho nada pode nos separar do amor de Deus.
Ninguém está impedido de amar naturalmente, pois esse amor deve ser preservado e santificado, nele deve ser encontrada a dignidade e integridade, esse padrão do bem estar da nossa alma e corpo.
O amor de Deus, é loucura para os homens. Jesus poderia ter dito perdoa os, eles não sabem o que é o amar.

John 4:17-20. And we have known and believed in the love that God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him. So the love in us is completely genuine, so that we will have courage on the Day of Judgment, because our life in this world is like the life of Christ. There is no fear in love; love that is completely genuine drives out fear. Therefore, whoever is afraid does not have completely genuine love in his heart, because fear shows that there is punishment. We love because God first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For no one can love God whom he has not seen, unless he loves his brother whom he has seen. This is the commandment that Christ gave us: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
God’s love is the antidote to the poison of lies and hypocrisy, it reveals God’s good works. Love is the divine response in God’s children, and to those in need.
The good deeds of human beings are not morally in full conformity with God’s standards and virtues. Understand that there is arbitrariness in the practice of some men when they do good; they do it out of imitation and moral necessity. Their minds and hearts are stimulated with a love of return.
The Word of the Lord teaches us the correct way to apply love. This love is above moral goodness. Any generosity or suffering must be motivated by love, otherwise God rejects it. Selfish martyrdom has no value for God, only for the world.
1 Cor 13: God’s love endures all things, no matter what your virtues or talents are, it is based on faith and hope. Notice that there are positive and negative parts. The superiority of God’s children is in loving.
Loving unconditionally will require biblical practice. This love comes from God, and it requires a change in the way relationships are formed. Its quality is to love when there is no reason to love. God does not love because of what we do; this was demonstrated and practiced by Jesus.
1 John 3:16-24. By this we know love, because Christ laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. Now if anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need and has no love for him, how can the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and we assure our hearts before him. For if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knows all things. Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God, and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. Now this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he gave us commandment. And he who keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
The love of God working in the believer proves his new birth. Jesus produced the qualities of the Father, such as patience and positive attitudes that transformed many hearts. True love inhibits envy, arrogance, and pride; it brings peace to an environment through kindness. Biblical love is a practice that produces security and hope for people in spiritual and physical need. The word of God is not associated with feelings, nor is it an association of emotions, but truth and obedience to the commandments.
Jesus’ reaction on the cross was the reaction of Agape love, He was not indifferent, He considered the Father’s commandment.
The love that operates in Truth is the love of self-giving, we see this most certainly in the atoning death of Jesus on the cross forgiving all sinners.
Luke 23:33-34. When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. But Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Then they divided up his garments by casting lots.
By this we know the love that Jesus gave His life for us. God’s love is greater than our hearts. What problem do you have with the Lord’s commandments? If we keep His commandments, it is because we deny our impure feelings, we leave things, we leave something, we leave friction behind to live by this love.
We must study the Word to discover God’s will, and do His will, as Jesus did. He fulfilled His own teachings.
Mt 5:43-48. You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Be perfect, therefore, as your Father in heaven is perfect.
True love is a practice of God’s righteousness. Jesus taught a love for all, considering those beyond. This means that Jesus was pointing out a love by which the world should recognize the children of the heavenly Father. Jesus pointed out the absolute perfection of God’s love as the goal of the believer.
Jesus is teaching us that love that does not debate the philosophical possibility of absolute perfect love on earth. We understand that there are good people doing good things, but the practice of true godliness lies in the knowledge of God’s true love.
People’s natural love often turns into disappointment, as these feelings are forged in response. This model of love will produce deep hurts within people.
In this season I see many people having difficulty in relating lovingly to others. This biblical passage in which Jesus speaks of loving your enemy is complicated for those who want to follow Jesus out of sentimental love. The rich young man cannot deny his riches, there are people who set their goals and plans, they will not give up their comforts, they do not want to feel the pain of the Cross (suffering for doing good).
John 14:21. Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”
People have difficulty declaring absolute love for the Lord. They are frustrated in churches. When they read some passages in the Bible, they sit at the table with the enemy. This is a great frustration for carnal believers. They lose spiritual satisfaction.
Ps 25:5. “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
The Psalmist asks God to prepare a table, the table is the Lord’s, you sit and wait, your enemy will be shocked. The devil has no part at this table, we are talking about people who have become thorns in your flesh to make you unhappy.
Prov 16:6-7. By love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; by the fear of the LORD a man turns away from evil. When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
The cross of Calvary is the model of truth and mercy. We can only avoid evil by walking with God in fear and in the strength of the Holy Spirit. You propose the table and God establishes the attitudes that connect hearts.
Sentimental love will not prevent evil, but it is through the fear of the Lord that one avoids the practice of evil.
Deuteronomy 6:4. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
God wants our devotion, our obedience and our loyalty, this is the basic and exclusive truth of the One God. Here the Lord already warned us about having strength in love, a heart with capacities in His understanding.
Jesus spoke about this commandment of the Law, his answer was clear, conclusive, Jesus brought eternal spiritual principles to the commandment, when Moses exhorts the people about the beginning and the end of the Law, love and obedience.
Mt 22:37-40. “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
We have already studied that loving according to the Lord’s pattern will require responsibility in attitudes, in the soul and in the heart. Love according to God is always seeking the greater good of the other and not of oneself.
The Word explicitly says that we must love ourselves, but there is self-love that is corrupt, it is one of the greatest sins, this love is linked to human features, demands, questions and personal understandings.
CONCLUSION .
We observe the dialogue of Job’s wife, she did not understand why there was so much spiritual integrity in the cruel adversity of Job’s affliction.
Job 2:9-10. Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die.” But he answered her, “You are talking like one of the foolish women. Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
This woman’s voice is the voice of the serpent in the ears of many people when they are going through a bitter test of faith. People are not prepared to be tested when there is loss. Their love cannot withstand diversity, their fidelity and integrity cannot withstand moments of affliction. This is the model of love of the world wanting to establish itself in the house of God.
We are being taught to be able to endure situations beyond human understanding if the love of God is operating in us. Regardless of the situations and obstacles that life puts in our path, nothing can separate us from the love of God.
No one is prevented from loving naturally, because this love must be preserved and sanctified, in it dignity and integrity must be found, this standard of well-being for our soul and body.
The love of God is foolishness to men. Jesus could have said forgive them, they do not know what love is.
